Trowel
Craft was founded in July 1999 as a small decorative
brickwork business. To date it has developed and grown
in many different directions.
Introducing
Neal Cooper, the Director and founder member of the
company. Neal started his apprenticeship at Southampton
City College in Hampshire, England in 1995 under a
very high standard of tuition, both at college and
working on site. He was fortunate enough to qualify
with the renowned 'Silver Trowel' award in 1999, and
due to the extremely high standard of his work, he
was awarded the City and Guilds Silver Medal of Bricklaying
Excellence.

With
a huge passion for artistic form, function, and practice
of brickwork, Trowel Craft was founded, to offer not just
everyday brickwork, but all kinds of brickwork, customised
to the individual client and their tailored needs. We
are a company dedicated to every area of brickwork, not
restrictive to straight wall runs and bucket handle jointing,
as is the general trend, but arches, serpentine walls;
anything! |
|
This
particular area of brickwork is not widely practised,
in comparison to site brickwork and the like, and requires
continual proving of skills, knowledge, and acceptance
to work on, or in alliance with work of this quality.
Being a very small, young business, it has taken a while
for our portfolio to grow, and for our name to be well
known and widely associated in this field of brickwork,
but as we continue to grow, we are becoming more and
more renowned for our work within this specialist field.
We
were delighted to be involved in engraving and building
the 'Compass Rose' Monument, in conjunction with Michelmersh
Brick and Tile Company, for the Royal Victoria Country
Park in Hamble, Southampton as part of their Millennium
Celebrations and new Sensory Garden. Projects like this
are continuing to increase, and we hope to update this
page with some more of our higher profile projects,
awards and creations in the near future.
